Between the worlds

Persephone belongs to both the darkness beneath the earth and the returning light.

In the ancient Greek myth, Persephone's descent into the underworld and eventual return became entwined with the turning of the seasons — the earth withdrawing into itself,
and then flowering once again.

There is something deeply feminine held within this rhythm.

We too move through seasons of descent and emergence. Times of becoming quiet, going inward and surrendering
what has been — followed, in their own time, by moments
of renewal, movement and return.

Persephone carries this remembrance: that neither the darkness nor the light is the whole story.

the descent, the becoming and the return.

Style  Soft, fluid and quietly sensual, Persephone is a full-length dress designed to wrap and drape gently around the female form.

Although Persephone carries the appearance of separate layers, she is in fact one continuous garment.
Her softly falling upper layer creates ease and movement across the shoulders, while the open back gathers into long ties that can either wrap around the waist or fasten at the back. The skirt falls freely, with two side slits, creating a beautiful sense of fluid movement.

Feminine without being overly delicate, sensual without revealing too much, she can be worn simply and barefoot or dressed more intentionally for a special occasion.

Persephone was created in celebration of the changing tide.  A dress made for movement and flow — she adapts to the woman who wears her. 

There are seasons in which we blossom outwardly, and others in which life draws us beneath the surface.

Like her namesake, Persephone does not belong entirely to one world or another. She travels between them — carrying something of the darkness into the light, and something of the light into the dark.

The adaptability of this design reflects this same freedom:
a garment that can shift and change according to the woman wearing it and the season she finds herself within.
